London Pleasure Gardens

RIBA London is partnering with London Pleasure Gardens and consulting engineers Price and Myers to create several structures for the amazing regeneration of the Royal Docks in East London. The 60,000sqm ‘London Pleasure Gardens’ will be a family-friendly festival of fun on a huge scale, right next to the Olympic venue at ExCel. The site opens in June 2012 and will host a series of innovative structures and installations commissioned for LFA2012. These include follies, a pool, Cabinet of Contaminated Curiosities and Oyster Grotto bar each designed by a different up-and-coming architectural practice chosen by RIBA London.
